A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to hospital with shock after a car accident yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened about 5.45pm when two cars, a white Ford utility and early model Toyota Corolla, collided at the intersection of Haddon and Burnbank streets.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged, with the drive shaft of the utility torn from underneath the car.

The 30-year-old male driver of the Ford escaped without injury.
